I carry a torch in one hand
And a bucket of water in the other:
With these things I am going to set fire to Heaven
And put out the flames of Hell
So that voyagers to God can rip the veils
And see the real goal........................................By Rabia (Rabi'a Al-'Adawiyya)

A PSALM OF LIFE
A PSALM OF LIFE
-- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
The poem was first published in 1838.
WHAT THE HEART OF THE YOUNG MAN
SAID TO THE PSALMIST
TELL me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream ! —
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
Life is real ! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal ;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way ;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
In the world's broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle !
Be a hero in the strife !
Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant !
Let the dead Past bury its dead !
Act,— act in the living Present !
Heart within, and God o'erhead !
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time ;
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate ;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

Seen your website and my feedback on the site is as follows
1) It asks me to login but does not provide for initial sign up before logging
2) What happens if I right country name as BHARAT ? This issue is imp as many talk of a India vs. Bharat divide.
3)None of the article is in Hindi. Not a word in Hindi -- I guess you will do something. If need help let me know.
4) Will you accept articles from others?
5) Pl also have a icon each for a Target (with time frame)and for Outcome ( or result).
About the movement I have already communicated that I am willing to join.

Naib Tahsildar with a law degree. Rare combination these days. In my earliest days in service I used to be very impressed by scholarly judgements of tahsildar and naib tahsildar, then the tradition vanished as CrPC amendment of 1973 separated the executive from judiciary

A poem by shri gopal prasd Vyas

Vinay Sharma July 15 at 12:40pm
